Amy Findlay is the eldest of the four sisters who comprise earthen psych-rock outfit Stonefield. Inspired by their parents’ Zappa, Hendrix and Zeppelin records, they started rocking out in a shed on their family farm in rural Victoria. The sister act shot to stardom when Amy was 20 and her youngest sister Holly only 12, when they won the 2010 triple j Unearthed High competition. Showcasing at Perth’s One Movement music conference that year, they were booked on the spot to play the 2011 Glastonbury Festival.
In 2013 they released their debut self-titled album, toured extensively and won the inaugural Age Music Victoria Award for Best Regional Act. In 2015 they were awarded APRA Rock Work Of the Year and supported their idols Fleetwood Mac. This year they toured the US after a memorable SXSW appearance, released their sophomore LP to rave reviews and are about to embark on their largest ever Australian tour.
