Amy has been instrumental in Music Canada’s efforts to unite a broad coalition of industry members in Ontario in a bid to promote live performance, music tourism and Toronto as a Music City. Amy is the lead author of The Mastering of a Music City, Key Elements, Effective Strategies and Why it’s Worth Pursuing, launched by Music Canada and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry in June 2015. This report provides a simple checklist to help local authorities, businesses, community groups and the creative sector capitalise on the potential of music to build, grow and strengthen their cities. It cites examples from Melbourne as well as 21 other cities from all continents.
