For over two decades DJ and producer Cheryl Waters has been enriching people’s lives through music and discovery at the influential Seattle radio station KEXP. A lifelong music lover and former environmental scientist, Cheryl began as a volunteer DJ at the world renowned music station in 1994. Host of the Midday Show on KEXP since 2005, Cheryl interviews a diverse line-up of artists and showcases one-of-a-kind live performances on her show nearly every day. As the Live Performances Producer, Cheryl curates KEXP’s in studio program, booking over 300 sessions at KEXP each year, which have received over 1/2 billion views world-wide (more than 2.1 million views per week) on KEXP’s YouTube channel. Cheryl was a music critic at Seattle’s National Public Radio station KUOW for over ten years and is a frequent contributor to NPR Music. Always searching for and championing new music wherever it can be found, Cheryl has broadcast her show live from New York, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Reykjavik and Poland.
