Emma Telfer is a consultant to the creative industries who is focused on projects that contribute to a culturally rich city. Emma Telfer & Associates currently direct and manage community engagement and program development for Open House Melbourne, Pin-up Architecture & Design Project Space, marketing communications for the RMIT Design Hub annual exhibition program and also for Broached Commissions, amongst other projects.
Emma sits on the board of Liquid Architecture Festival, the leading Australian sound art festival, and on the board of NETS Victoria, the peak body for visual arts touring in the state of Victoria. She is also an Open House Melbourne association member.
Emma is a founding partner of the Office For Good Design. Office for Good Design is a unique curatorial group that works with independent organisations and major cultural institutions to realise their interest in design, architecture and the broader creative industries. Recent projects include Annual Manual: A Guide to Design Now with Object Gallery, 7 Kinds of Happiness: Conversations on Design and Emotion, The Sound of Buildings, Audio Architecture, a program that launched the Arts Centre Hamer Hall redevelopment, and a series of public excursions for NGV’s Melbourne Now.
Office for Good Design is currently curating and producing the public program for MPavilion, the new summer architecture pavilion presented by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation and the City of Melbourne.
