Jaime Gough is General Manager at Native Tongue Music Publishing, an independent music publisher with offices in Melbourne and Auckland.
Native Tongue’s impressive local roster includes The Amity Affliction, Ali Barter, Courtney Barnett, Cut Copy, Oscar Dawson, The Drones, Elk Road, Gossling, Kingswood, Alex Lahey, Oh Mercy, The Waifs and Gin Wigmore. The company also has direct agreements with Elvis Presley Enterprises, NPG Publishing (Prince), Tom Waits, Roy Orbison, Electric Guest, Neon Indian, Purity Ring, St. Lucia, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Spandau Ballet.
After completing marketing and business degrees at Monash University, Jaime worked for music licensing company Mana Music and artist management agency Mayday Management. He joined Native Tongue as copyright and royalties manager in 2005 and became creative manager in 2007 where his role evolved to include A&R, licensing and International catalogue management. He spent 4 years in London expanding Native Tongue’s operations in the UK, Europe and US before returning to Melbourne in 2013.
