As Marketing Director at Street Press Australia, Leigh forged strong relationships with venues, record labels and artist management. He has since gone on to work on major campaigns assisting national and international brands to sync their products to music. SPA launched into new media creating Australia’s first iPad-only lifestyle and entertainment magazine that went on to be voted one of the top 20 magazine iPad apps in the world. This paved the way for iPad-enhanced versions of their print titles, daily electronic newsletter Your Daily SPA and website theMusic.com.au. In August this year, Street Press Australia’s national stable of titles united under The Music masthead following a redesign that transformed the free weekly magazines into glossy, newsstand-style publications. Leigh Treweek continues to oversee one of Australia’s largest multi-platform music media companies with The Music.
