mel lewisInitially a music writer for National Street Press titles, Australian Hysteria, FasterLouder and MX, Mel Lewis moved to Music Editor at Beat magazine, then Editorial & Operations Manager for Tone Deaf, where she handled the campaigns for the biggest international and local artists, and major festivals, on the national touring circuit. As Managing Publicist for Heapsaflash, Mel’s campaigns included tours and releases for Ngaiire, Thundamentals, Kerser, Nahko & Medicine For The People, Jon Cleary, Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, and Graveyard Train. She now runs her own PR and management agency, SPUR, working with select venues and artists on their publicity and social media campaigns, as well as handling and creating opportunities for her sole management client, the incomparable Ngaiire.
