Double J

Myf Warhurst is a television presenter, broadcaster and writer. She currently hosts the lunch program on ABC’s digital radio station Double J and writes a weekly column for The Guardian.

Myf’s music career started with a bang when she won her primary school breakdancing championship but hit a lull when her piano renditions of classics such as Phil Collins’ ‘Against All Odds’ failed to secure further awards. She turned to journalism, editing Inpress magazine before joining triple j, where she hosted the Saturday night Net 50 request program. In 2003 she came to prominence as host of the weekday Lunch shift with her daily segment The Trashy Lunchtime Quiz and in 2007 joined Jay and The Doctor hosting The Breakfast Show.

Myf is best known for her role as team captain on one of Australia’s most-loved television shows, Spicks & Specks, which ran from 2005-2011 and twice won Logies for Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Program.
