Stephen has worked in music marketing since 1999, running a successful PR company for eight years before working with D-Star on the launch of radio delivery and monitoring systems for major and indie labels and programming Brisbane’s BIGSOUND for two years. In 2010 Stephen formed SGC Media, focused on marketing Australian music. The business’ roster has included John Butler Trio, Triple J Hottest 100, The Waifs, San Cisco and more. So far in 2013, the company has worked the ARIA top five single “Bayini” with Indigenous artist Gurrumul and Delta Goodrem, a platinum EP from Sheppard, a CMJ top 20 EP in the US for Cub Sport, an ARIA #1 DVD for The Butterfly Effect as well as charting albums for Abbe May, Mia Dyson, Sticky Fingers, The Trouble with Templeton and Pete Murray.
