Yama Indra is a producer, artist, DJ, mix engineer, educator and composer. He emerged from Melbourne’s indie-electronic scene as the driving force behind bands Damn Arms and Snap! Crakk! before establishing solo artist/producer moniker GLOVES. As GLOVES, he was commissioned to remix and produce music for a who’s who of Australian music including Asta, Cut Copy, Kimbra, Bag Raiders, Miami Horror, Van She, Sneaky Sound System, Letters to Lions and Gold Fields. He composed contemporary scores for the Sydney Youth Orchestra and TVCs and had DJ residencies at legendary institutions including 3rd Class, IVY and Harpoon Harry’s.
With a BA in Music Industry and Adv. Diploma in Technical Production, he recently began teaching and developing an electronic music production focused curriculum at Ableton Liveschool. He also moonlights as the digital marketing coordinator for Collarts.
